Our Region

Discover the inescapable places to be visited during your stay in the Tarn.

We benefit from an ideal location, between ALBI (15 min.) and TOULOUSE (40 min), in the Tarn department at the heart of the Gaillac vineyards on the banks of the River Tarn, in Occitanie (formerly the Midi Pyrénées), part of south west France.

Vignoble Gaillacois

The region is often compared with Tuscany due to its rolling hills and wooded slopes, the architecture of its houses with their pastel blue and anise green shutters, and its picturesque sunlit villages.
This is where you can breathe the air of the South with a climate produced by its position at the crossroads of the Mediterranean, the Atlantic and the Pyrenees.

The Tarn is a small department – but offers a huge diversity of architectural and natural riches.
Over very short distances (20 to 25 km), you will encounter radically different landscapes, building styles and colours.

Cordes sur Ciel- les ruelles

Close by are the Montans archaeological site and the medieval town of Gaillac, with its 15,000 inhabitants and age-old vineyards, as well as the surrounding fortified and medieval villages: Cordes-sur-Ciel, Puycelsi, Castelnau de Montmiral, Bruniquel, the Penne fortress, Lisle sur Tarn and many more.

Albi - Musée Toulouse Lautrec

Albi, the department capital, is full of interesting sights, including the Episcopal City (on the UNESCO World Heritage list), Albi Cathedral, the red brick buildings of the old town, Toulouse-Lautrec Museum and Lapérouse Museum and the Palais de la Berbie.

Lacaune with its mountains and its charcuterie.
Mazamet, Sorèze and its abbey school at the foot of the Black Mountains.
The Autan area with Castres and its houses lining the banks of the River Agout, Sidobre with its granite-rock-strewn landscape.
The Pays de Cocagne, with its pastel and saffron, Lautrec with its windmill and pink garlic, and Lavaur with its brick cathedral.
The Valley of the Tarn (Ambialet).
The Sivens and the Grésigne forests, ideal for hiking enthusiasts.

A multitude of dovecotes scattered across the landscape wherever you go.
Not forgetting the Mauriac and Saurs châteaux, 3 Valleys Zoo, Saut du Tarn Museum,
Jardin des Martels and Tarn Tourist Railway.

Toulouse - Cité de l’Espace

Toulouse (the Cité de l’Espace, the Capitol) is at 40 min
Montauban is at 45 min
Carcassonne is at 90 min
The viaduct of Millau is at 2 am
The Mediterranean beaches are at 2 am
