Discovering the Tarn

Enjoy meeting local people as you stroll through typical South West markets, selling produce such as ducks, cheeses, and charcuterie from Lacaune, or sip on Gaillac wine on the terrace of a village café. Local wine growers are always happy to take visitors on a tour of their wine cellars.

Marvel at the natural treasures to be found in our region: the Sidobre area, home to the amazing geological sights of its strange-shaped rocks, caves and local flora and fauna.

No trip to the Tarn is complete without taking an interest in its cultural heritage, marked by the terrible Albigensian crusade (Albi Cathedral), the Route of Santiago de Compostela and the history of the Pays de Cocagne and pastel. Many famous men, including Toulouse Lautrec, Laperouse, Jean Jaurès, Moscato and Bernard Laporte, were born here.
